Walking the Town Loop and Chateau Road

Do you have Hiking Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • Starting from Mammoth Creek Park West, this easy, 0.75-mile loop is mostly flat with one gentle hill. Follow the Town Loop path through the tunnel under Old Mammoth Road. Stroll along the creek to the Sierra Park Connector and follow it over the slight hill to Chateau Road. The short section along Chateau Road is usually quiet, but be sure to stay to the side of the road and watch for cars. Once back on Old Mammoth Road, follow the sidewalk back to Mammoth Creek Park West.
