This is a short, peaceful out-and-back walk on a mostly flat section of the Town Loop Path in the woods along Mammoth Creek. Park at the end of Sherwin Street in Old Mammoth and cross the bridge over the creek. A number of old metal chairlifts line the path, offering pleasant, shaded places to rest as you make your way. At path's end, you can opt to explore a number of smaller foot trails through a teeming meadow all the way to Minaret Boulevard—and even make a loop on the main Town Loop Path back to Sherwin Street—or simply return the way you came.
