Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking the Knolls Loop

Do you have Mountain Biking Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • This ride is for upper intermediate to advanced riders with good wayfinding skills; while the trail is marked with small “bike diamonds,” they can easily be missed. This loop is known for its sustained, grinding climbs on dirt roads with some sandy sections, and for fast descents on roads and singletrack. The ride winds through the forest primarily on fire roads and is best ridden clockwise, although truly advanced riders might enjoy the challenge of the counterclockwise route. While the first half of the ride is mainly climbing, the spectacular vistas from spots such as Obsidian Knoll make it all worthwhile!
